After releasing a string of well received studio album in the mid-aughts, it’s been nearly four years since we’ve gotten a proper studio album from Calexico. On September 11 the Tuscon, AZ-based act will remedy that with the release of Algiers, their eighth studio album, which was recorded in converted church in the outskirts on New Orleans. Calexico have lined up a lengthy world tour in support of the record this fall, which will include two European legs sandwiched around their U.S. dates. The band, who will take HT faves The Dodos on the road with them as their support act, will kick off their 15-date American tour on October 10, at The Royale in Boston, Mass.
If you’re not into a night with Calexico and The Dodos, then maybe you’ll be interested in hitting one of these recently announced tours…
